Story of Colors (Part 5)

Teacher: "JUNICHI!!"
Junichi: "*zzz...*"
Teacher: "Junichi Matsui!"
Junichi: "o..." (wakes up from his slumber)
Teacher: "You're sleeping again, you'd better concentrate, go wash your face"

***Junichi walks out***

Name: Junichi Matsui (松井 准一)
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Character attributes: Smart but very lazy

Eri: "I wonder what could his previous semester grade be"
Lyra: "Very poor perhaps"

The class continues when Junichi came back.

The teacher then starts teaching Mathematics. Everyone in class listens attentively until things get boring. Junichi starts to fiddle around with his pencil case, taking out pencils, pens and starts drawing on his notebook.

***Draw draw draw, sketch sketch sketch***

Suddenly!

Teacher: "Junichi! What are you doing! How dare you draw on your notebook!"
Junichi: "he... he..."

The teacher walks over and takes his notebook, inside were full of drawings and sketches; [beautiful, I would say]. Angrily, the teacher calls him out.

Teacher: "Now! solve this problem, or else detention for you today!"

Junichi winks at the teacher, then picks up the chalk and starts scribbling the solution on the blackboard.
A while later, the teacher checks his answer. What a shock she had! In fact, what a shock the entire class had.
Junichi then turns and walks gleefully back to his seat.
On the other end of the class, Eri and Lyra stares at the blackboard and with awe at Junichi.

PART 5 END

What exactly was with Junichi's answer? Was it a brilliant solution? Find out in Part 6. Bye!

Story of Colors (Part 4)

Getting off the public transport (let's say it's a train, public transport is so long to type), Lyra and Eri continue their journey to school, along the way they see other students too heading towards school.

Suddenly, someone ran past them, Eri managed to catch a glimpse of the person; it was a boy with ruffled hair and untidy dressing.
Not long after, they arrived at school to find a crowd of students gathered in front of the school's main notice boards, everyone looking out for their names and finding out their assigned classes. Those who already checked were happily chatting along the corridors while there were also some who are a bit upset because not being in the same class as their friends.

It was then Lyra and Eri's turn. It turned out to be very fortunate that the both of them were in the same class. Happily they cheered.

Lyra and Eri: "Yatta!" ("Yeah!")
[Woops... I used Japanese again... Whatever]

Thus, they walked towards class.
Upon entering class, Eri noticed the same boy again, sleeping with his face down on the table at the back corner of the classroom. Eri nudges Lyra...

Eri: "Look, isn't that the person who ran past us this morning?"
Lyra: "Ya, it is the same"
Lyra: "What a surprise to be in the same class with him"

The both of them then took the seats next to the window of the classroom, opposite where the boy was sitting. The bell rang not long after, it was time for classes.

Moments later, the teacher entered the class; the class immediately became quiet and everyone turned to the front. [The boy is still sleeping]
The teacher then started introducing herself and then calling out the students' names to take the class attendance.

***Teacher calls name by name***
***Students reply "Yes"***

Then reaching the name "Junichi", there was no reply. The teacher called again, and soon the whole class was looking around and suddenly all attention were focused on the boy at the back.

Teacher: "Junichi!"
Teacher: "Junichi Matsui!!"

PART 4 END

So the boy's name was Junichi. What is going to happen? Stay tuned for part 5! Do leave your comments for what you wish to expect! Bye for now.

Story of Colors (Part 3)

Apparently, a girl bumped into Lyra and ran off, leaving her in a daze. However, the reason remains unknown of why the girl ran so fast.

Recovering from her daze Lyra rushes to join her mum with the shopping, in her mind still having a clear image of the girl. It was like something very exciting blooming from the inside of her. Continuing on with the shopping, Lyra was hoping to be able to meet the same girl again.

Back at home, Lyra couldn't stop thinking about the girl, wondering about chances meeting the girl again, thus leaving herself constantly staring blankly into spaces. Little did she know that things are soon going to get exciting and fun.

*************************

Finally, the summer holidays are over, and school reopens.
It is Monday morning, the sky had just broke through the darkness, leaving the sun shining brightly over the earth. Birds and creatures of the countryside are calling and making sounds of their own.

Lyra as usual, gets dressed and gets ready to leave for school. School, for her case is not of walking distance, hence, Lyra would take a public transport into town to attend school. As she walks down the path toward the station with other students from the countryside, a slight breeze was felt and someone dash past her. The feeling was exactly like how she felt during the trip to the market.
[The school Lyra attends allows casual dressing]

Getting to her senses, she quickly noticed that the person was the same girl she bumped into at the market. Gathering her feet, she raced after the girl where they finally arrived at the same destination, the station, tired and exhausted. Lyra shyly walks up to the girl.

Lyra: "Hi"
Girl: "Hi... *timidly*"
Lyra: "You were the same girl that bumped into me at the market the other day"
Girl: "Err... I can't remember"
Lyra: "It's ok. My name's Lyra, Lyra Kitahara, what's yours?"

(here I introduce the second character)
Name: Eri Kobayashi (小林 恵理)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Character Attributes: Always rushing, timid

(here onwards I shall use Eri instead of Girl)

Eri: "Name's Eri, Eri Kobayashi"
Lyra: "Nice name, where are you going?"
Eri: "To school"
Lyra: "That means were in the same school! *looking at Eri's attire*"
Eri: "Ya..."
Lyra: "I saw the school notice before the holidays that there will be a reassigning of classes based on our semester exam. How I wish I could be in the same class with you"
Eri: "You're nice, hopefully so. ne~" ("ne~" is a gesture to get the other person to agree to what have just been said)
Lyra: "Sou ne~, let's be friends!" ("*agrees*")
Eri: "Em..."

***The public transport arrives***

The two girls get on and along the way they talked and thus the start of a friendship blooms.

PART 3 END

Would they end up being in the same class? Stay tuned for the upcoming Part 4. Place your comments of what you expect. Bye for now!

Story of Colors (Part 2)

Lyra: "Ah, it's morning already"

Lyra gets up and puts away her sleeping stuff. She walks toward the kitchen and to find her mum preparing breakfast.

Mum: "Ohayou" ("Good morning")
Lyra: "Ohayou"

Lyra takes a seat at the dining table as mum lays out the breakfast.

Lyra: "Otou-san wa tabenai no?" ("Is dad not eating?")
Mum: "Mata yo, mada neteru kara" ("He's still sleeping, he will later")

After laying out breakfast, mum takes a seat too.
(eat eat eat...munch munch munch)

Mum clears the table and leaves a portion for dad.

Mum: "Lyra, get ready, we're going to the market, remember?"
Lyra: "Hai, ima wa junbi shimasu!" ("Yes, getting ready now")

Lyra changes into her usual attire, an orange overall dress with yellow tee. She then comes out to find mum already at the front door with her shopping basket.

Mum: "Hayaku iko" ("let's go")

The two of them then walk along the lane which leads to the market. In the countryside, the market from home is just of walking distance. As they walk along, the wind blows mildly and with birds flying across chirping their melodies.

Soon, they arrive at the marketplace. It's as if it is like a shopping complex; everything's so organized, clean, and it gives a comfortable feeling.

So, mum goes on shopping for supplies and Lyra tagging along, admiring at all the nice stuff around. Suddenly, *bump!* someone runs into her. It was a girl, kinda short, and dressed plainly.

Girl: "Sumimasen *pants*. Moshi wakearimasen" ("I'm sorry, very sorry")

The girl then runs off, her hair waving in the air as she runs, leaving Lyra in a daze.

PART 2 END

Well, what actually happened to cause somebody to run so fast? Stay tuned and bye!

Story of Colors (Part 1)

It is the summer holidays. The sun is shining bright and with the birds flying across the sky, a cool breeze blowing through the heat of the day.

(Here I introduce the first character)
Name: Lyra Kitahara (北原 ライラ)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Character Attributes: Quiet, shy

Lyra, who is spending her summer holidays at home in the countryside is enjoying the breeze in the meadow down the path from home.
: "Kimochi ne~" ("Such good feeling")

Mum: "Lyra!"
Lyra: "Hai, okaa-san" ("Yes, mum")
Mum: "Chotto kochira e tasukete kudasai!" ("Can you come here and help for a bit?")
Lyra: "Hai, ima sugu!" ("Yes, right away")

Lyra runs home and helps her mum out. Well, it's the summer holidays and a tradition for the Kitahara family is to have a day set where all members of the family would have dinner together. Being the only child in the family, such gathering would mean a lot for Lyra; who else could she have had besides her friends? Her family of course!

During dinner, mum mentioned about going to the marketplace the following day. That certainly brought trill to Lyra; for Lyra, going to the marketplace is almost as fun as shopping!

After dinner, Lyra sits at the verandah feeling the night breeze and listening to the songs of the night creatures. In her mind was filled with thoughts about the time she was gonna have at the marketplace. What excitement! That must be what she was thinking, even to bedtime.

Lyra: "Oyasuminasai, otou-san to okaa-san" ("Goodnight, dad and mum")
Dad, mum: "Oyasumi" ("Goodnight")
mum: "Ashita ni genki shimashou, ne~" ("Let's be ready for tomorrow, cheers")

PART 1 END

What would happen the following day? Would it be something very exciting? Would someone appear?
Stay tuned for PART 2! Bye for now.
